Aziza, thank you for joining us. Let’s start with the essentials. What is something you couldn’t do without in your professional life?
Thank you for having me! I love being part of an international team and being challenged. Challenges are what drive me, as I enjoy the thrill of meeting daily sales targets and guiding my team to success. It's amazing to be in a multicultural environment where I get to practice up to four languages every day. The mix of different perspectives is always exciting and helps me learn every day. Whether it's practicing languages, exchanging cultural insights, or diving into new sales strategies. It’s a fantastic way to grow both personally and professionally.
Inspiring! Could you give us some more insights into your role and the team you lead?
Certainly! I joined Lucanet nine months ago as the sales development representatives team lead in Spain. I manage and support the business development representatives, inside sales executives and sales development representatives across Spain, France, Benelux, UK, Italy, and Singapore. My main responsibility is to lead these talents to build a successful pipeline for our Account Executives. It's a role that requires both strategic thinking and cross-market collaboration.
For those new to what you do, how would you describe a typical day in your role?
It’s a mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution. I develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to help our teams meet their targets, which includes regular coaching and mentoring sessions. I also analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities. A crucial aspect of my role is working with other teams such as Tech, our Account Executives, or Marketing, to align our sales strategies with Lucanet’s overall business goals.
That sounds really varied! What excites you most about your role?
To be part of such a diverse team! This allows me to use my language skills and cultural knowledge, which is incredibly rewarding. The daily sales challenges and the opportunity to lead a talented team keep me motivated and passionate about my role.
Taking about motivation, what do you do when facing challenges?
When I face a challenge, I stay motivated by embracing the unknown and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. I love setting ambitious goals and seeing challenges as opportunities to grow. Staying positive and resilient really helps me navigate through any obstacles that come my way.
It seems like you really identify with our value of challenging ourselves to do better every day. Is that true, and how do you and your team live up to it?
Absolutely, the core value that resonates the most with me is “We challenge”. Managing a sales team across breakout and expansion markets is a constant challenge. My team and I live up to this value by constantly pushing boundaries, seeking innovative solutions, and embracing every obstacle as an opportunity to grow. This mindset drives our success and fosters a culture of resilience and continuous improvement.
Could you tell us what initially attracted you to join Lucanet?
Well, it was the international atmosphere and the chance to be part of a fast-growing company. Now I really feel supported in my professional development with the different learning opportunities we have here. We truly value a collaborative environment, which encourages me to take on new tasks. For example, I've had the chance to support opening a new market in Italy, which involved extensive market research, building new customer relationships, and setting up a local team.

I love the flexibility and freedom to create new sales processes. It’s empowering to be in an environment where your feedback is valued. This open and supportive environment allows me to create and improve our strategies, making a real impact on our company success.
