We chatted with Diana, a Senior Back-End Developer from our Romanian team, about her role, meeting customers’ expectations, and the exciting tech developments at Lucanet. Welcome, Diana! Let's dive right in, when did you join Lucanet, and which team are you part of?
"I joined Lucanet in September 2023, as a Senior Back-end Developer in the team responsible for our financial consolidation solution. In my role, I focus on designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications. All with the goal of creating systems that are scalable, reliable, and efficient. I also work closely with my colleagues in the front-end development team to ensure that user-facing elements and server-side logic are seamlessly integrated."
You talked about working with other teams, can you share some more insights about that?
"Sure! Since we're organized in a global structure, our team works closely with others to make sure our projects fit well into the overall roadmap of our CFO Solution Platform and align with everyone's efforts. We do this by having regular meetings and keeping communication open and transparent, so we all stay on the same page and can quickly address any challenges that arise."
Transparency and teamwork really matter, indeed. Can you explain to us how your team helps achieve the company’s goal?
"Our team is key to developing and improving the core functionality of Lucanet's solutions, making sure they meet the high standards of performance and reliability our customers expect. I believe that we're helping the company achieve its mission of delivering top-notch solutions by actively working on transitioning our applications from a desktop client to a web client. This approach improves accessibility and user experience, aligning with Lucanet’s goal of becoming a full SaaS vendor and enabling finance teams around the globe to lead with ease."
And can you share a recent project that you're particularly proud of?
"I'm currently involved in migrating Lucanet's financial apps from a desktop client to the web. This project focuses on designing and implementing RESTful APIs that seamlessly integrate with our existing back-end infrastructure. My main aim has been to ensure that the new modules manage complex queries efficiently while maintaining high performance and accuracy.
I'm especially proud of our progress so far - we've nearly completed the migration of three out of four apps. Collaborating closely with the front-end team has been a highlight for me. Being part of this significant transition and working with my colleagues to reach our goals has been incredibly rewarding. This experience has not only improved my technical skills but also reinforced the importance of teamwork and effective communication for successful outcomes."
What future trend are you most excited about, and how would you say Lucanet is positioned in this area?
"I'm really excited about the move towards automation and artificial intelligence (AI) in financial software. Lucanet is in a great position to take advantage of these advancements to provide smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly solutions to our customers. By focusing on innovation and keeping up with tech trends, focusing on internal enablement and exploration, such as within our hackathons, we make sure to stay ahead and continue being a leader in the industry."
It’s amazing how fast AI is advancing, right? So, what is your favorite part about working at Lucanet?
"What I enjoy most about working here are the numerous opportunities for growth and development. I’ve met so many great colleagues and I truly feel the company genuinely values its people, which is really important to me. And of course, getting the chance to travel to Berlin, participate in hackathons, and attend company events makes for a very enjoyable work culture."

"The core value that aligns most with me, and I believe the whole team, is “we value our people and the communities we serve” as collaboration is super important to us. We believe that by working together and leveraging each other's strengths, we achieve the best results.
